From the age of six to twenty-two, I underwent intensive and authentic training in classical Chinese calligraphy and painting. Through meticulous copying of a vast collection of Song and Ming dynasty landscape and bird-and-flower paintings, I developed a solid foundation and a deep appreciation for the aesthetics of Chinese art. This rigorous training has provided me with endless inspiration and technical support for my contemporary ink art practice.
